WhatsApp has started testing a new sticker pack-sharing feature and the ability to add a message when forwarding content on its platform for iOS and Android users.
The company recently launched this feature to its beta testers, enabling them to share sticker packs they have installed on their devices. This option became available a month after its initial discovery. Users with the latest beta versions of WhatsApp on iOS and Android can now select a sticker pack to share with another user, facilitating the installation of the same pack on the recipient’s device.
In addition to sticker sharing, WhatsApp has begun to allow some testers to incorporate a message while forwarding content. This update aims to enhance user interaction and streamline communication within the app.
Regarding the new sticker feature, after updating to WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.24.25.2 or WhatsApp beta for iOS version 24.24.10.72, testers gain access to an added option within the sticker section of the app. The feature tracker WABetaInfo noted this. Testers will notice a new three-dot button next to each sticker pack, which, upon tapping, offers two options: Send and Remove. Selecting ‘Send’ generates a link to the sticker pack, which users can forward to another WhatsApp user.

Currently, the sharing feature only allows users to share sticker packs that are available on WhatsApp. This feature’s rollout included screenshots demonstrating the sharing of the ‘Cuppy’ sticker pack across iOS and Android platforms.
Another new feature now permits users to add messages to forwarded content. WhatsApp introduced this capability in the beta version of Android version 2.24.25.3. When users select media to forward and choose the contacts, a new field appears where they can type a message to accompany the forwarded item.

Gadgets 360’s attempts to test these features in the specified versions of WhatsApp beta for Android and in other recent versions, such as the 2.24.25.12 beta build released on Thursday, were unsuccessful, suggesting that WhatsApp is releasing these features in stages.
