Sam Fender and Olivia Dean broke a 30-year UK chart record after “Rein Me In” completed 16 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Official Singles Chart.
The collaboration surpassed Wet Wet Wet’s 1994 run with “Love Is All Around,” according to the source material.
“Rein Me In” originally appeared as a solo track on Fender’s third studio album before Dean joined a later version that gained wider attention.
The song took 35 weeks from its chart debut to reach No. 1, marking the longest climb to the top in the ranking’s history, the source said.
The record extends a period of rising international recognition for London singer Olivia Dean, whose music blends pop, neo-soul and jazz.
Dean began singing in a church choir before studying at the BRIT School. She later worked as a backing vocalist for British group Rudimental.
