The blues trio GA-20 and Charlie Musselwhite, a Grammy-winning harmonica player and vocalist, performed “I Can’t Hold Out” on CBS Saturday Morning’s “Saturday Sessions” on August 1.
The CBS News performance featured Musselwhite on vocals and harmonica alongside the New England-based group.
“I Can’t Hold Out” appears as the second track on their collaborative album, “Blues Now!” New West Records released the 10-song collection on July 31.
The label’s official credits identify Elmore James as the song’s writer. The album version features Matthew Stubbs and Cody Nilsen on guitars, Josh Kiggans on drums and Musselwhite on harmonica and vocals.

Stubbs produced the album, which the musicians recorded at Rare Signals studio in Cambridge, Massachusetts, according to the New West Records announcement.
The musicians began the project during a six-day studio session in early 2025. They selected material by blues artists, including James, Junior Wells and Eddie Taylor, as well as songs from Musselwhite’s 1968 debut album, “Stand Back!”
