The United States Air Force awarded Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. a $488 million contract that includes radar support for Pakistan’s F-16s, covering long-term engineering and technical services.
The contract covers APG-66 and APG-68 radar systems under the Foreign Military Sales programme, according to a US official award.
The firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity agreement will support the F-16 System Programme Office’s Foreign Military Sales requirements, as well as US Air Force and Navy needs.
Northrop Grumman will carry out the work in Linthicum Heights, Maryland, and complete it by March 31, 2036. The Air Force Lifecycle Management Centre at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting authority.
The contract includes multiple foreign military sales beneficiaries, including Pakistan, Bahrain, Belgium, Chile, Denmark, Egypt, Greece, Indonesia, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Korea, Morocco, the Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Thailand and Türkiye.
The US Air Force said it awarded the contract on a sole-source basis. It obligated $2,644,922 in fiscal 2026 funds at the time of the award.
The award follows a separate US approval in December 2025 of a $686 million support package for Pakistan’s F-16 fleet, including Link-16 data link systems, cryptographic equipment, avionics upgrades, training and logistics support.

The Defence Security Cooperation Agency said the package would support US foreign policy and national security objectives by maintaining Pakistan’s interoperability with US and partner forces in counterterrorism and contingency operations.
