BIRMINGHAM, England: Pakistan were 133 all out in 33.5 overs on Wednesday in the third Test at Edgbaston as England’s pace attack dismantled the visitors on the opening day.
Josh Tongue led England with 4-42, while Ollie Robinson took 3-15 and Jofra Archer 3-25 after England captain Joe Root won the toss and chose to bowl.
Saud Shakeel provided Pakistan’s main resistance with 43 from 47 balls, including seven fours. Mohammad Abbas added 21 before Archer removed him to end the innings.
Pakistan lost recalled opener Saim Ayub for a duck before Azan Awais fell for nine. Abdullah Shafique’s dismissal left the visitors 24-3, before Shan Masood departed with the total on 26.
Captain Babar Azam was bowled by Tongue for seven at 48-5. Test debutants Ghazi Ghori and Mohammad Imran Randhawa then fell to Tongue for four and five respectively, while Razaullah made 11.
Pakistan fielded three debutants after making four changes for the series finale. Ghori, Randhawa and Razaullah received their first Test caps, while Ayub returned to the side.

England entered the match with an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-Test ICC World Test Championship series after winning by an innings and 103 runs at Headingley and by 194 runs at Lord’s.
The third and final Test is scheduled to continue at Edgbaston through September 13.
