Dolly Parton screenings will run at select Regal theatres in New York and New Jersey from September 4 to 9, with proceeds supporting her Imagination Library.
Regal Cinemas will show “Steel Magnolias” on September 4, 6 and 8. “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas” will screen on September 5, 7 and 9.
Tickets will cost $9.25, a reference to Parton’s signature song “9 to 5.” Regal said all proceeds from the benefit screenings will go to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
The literacy program provides free books each month to registered children from birth through age five, regardless of family income.
