Pakistan added seven players, including five uncapped players at Test level, to their squad for the third Test against England at Edgbaston after falling 2-0 behind in the three-match series.
The Pakistan Cricket Board said Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Ali Agha, Ali Usman, Aamir Jamal, Muhammad Awais Zafar and Khurram Shahzad were released after England’s 194-run victory at Lord’s. The final Test begins in Birmingham on September 9.
The replacements are Saim Ayub, Abdullah Fazal, Arafat Minhas, Saad Baig, Mohammad Imran Jnr, Mohammad Imran Randhawa and Razaullah. Minhas has already played three ODIs and four T20Is, while the remaining newcomers bring domestic and Pakistan Shaheens experience.
Among the new faces, wicketkeeper-batter Saad Baig was named Player of the Tournament in the 2025-26 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy after scoring 1,000 runs at 55.55. Fast bowler Razaullah has taken 30 wickets in eight first-class matches, while left-armer Mohammad Imran Jnr has 23 wickets from eight first-class appearances.

Arafat Minhas has 684 first-class runs and 13 wickets from 17 matches, while experienced all-rounder Mohammad Imran Randhawa has taken 110 wickets in 58 first-class games.
Pakistan also changed their coaching staff for the Edgbaston Test, with Mike Hesson and Ashley Noffke replacing Sarfaraz Ahmed and Umar Gul. England enter the match seeking a 3-0 series sweep after wins at Headingley and Lord’s.
