A Shia cleric was killed in a drive-by shooting in Islamabad on Wednesday, police said.
According to the police, Allama Nawaz Irfani, a prominent leader of Majlis Wahdat ul Muslimeen, was targeted on way to Islamabad from his home town Parachinar in the limits of Golrah Police Station.
The police said that gunmen riding a bike opened fire on Allama Irfani, killing him instantly. The dead body was later shifted to PIMS Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
