Rawalpindi, Pakistan: Pakistan’s top military leadership marked Youm-e-Takbeer on Thursday by reaffirming the armed forces’ pledge to defend the country against all challenges.
The Inter-Services Public Relations said Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu greeted the nation.
The military chiefs said May 28, 1998, marked Pakistan’s emergence as a nuclear power and restored strategic balance in South Asia.
They called the milestone a symbol of national unity, resilience and resolve to protect sovereignty, territorial integrity and national honour.

The ISPR said Pakistan’s strategic capability remains a sacred national trust and a guarantor of regional peace, stability and credible deterrence.
The armed forces vowed to keep working for Pakistan’s security, stability and prosperity.
