The Diddy NBC lawsuit has shifted against Sean “Diddy” Combs after its dismissal, with NBCUniversal, Peacock and Ample Entertainment seeking $990,292 in attorneys’ fees.
The music mogul had sought at least $100 million over the documentary “Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy,” accusing the companies behind it of publishing claims he considered false and damaging to his reputation.
After the case was dismissed, the defendants initially requested $927,448 in legal fees. They later added another $62,844 for work related to responding to Combs’ challenge to the fee request.
A judge has not yet finalised the amount, meaning Combs has not been ordered to pay the full $990,292 being sought.
According to media reports, Combs’ lawyers are challenging the size of the requested fees, including the hours billed and the level of attorneys NBCUniversal used in its defence.
