Sean “Diddy” Combs’ release date has been moved up again. Federal Bureau of Prisons records now list February 23, 2028, as his release date, Us Weekly reported Monday.
The updated date reduces the time remaining on his sentence at FCI Fort Dix, a low-security federal prison in New Jersey. Earlier, Combs had been listed for release on April 25, 2028. Before that, his original release date was June 4, 2028.
Combs, 56, received a 50-month prison sentence last year after a jury convicted him on two counts of transportation for prostitution. ABC News reported that the jury acquitted him of more serious sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

The music producer began serving the sentence after the federal case and remains incarcerated while his legal team pursues an appeal. Additionally, Courthouse News reported that his lawyers challenged the sentence before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Attorney Juda Engelmayer said Combs’ team was not initially told about the latest release date change, according to Us Weekly. Engelmayer said Combs has stayed involved in his case and remains hopeful.
