Diddy’s name has resurfaced in discussion around Diddy Biggie murder claims nearly three decades after rapper Christopher Wallace was shot dead in Los Angeles, though he has denied any role.
Wallace, better known as The Notorious B.I.G. or Biggie Smalls, was 24 when he was killed on March 9, 1997. He was leaving an afterparty when another vehicle pulled beside his car at a traffic light and opened fire.
The rapper was rushed to the hospital but died from his injuries. No one has been arrested or charged in the case, despite repeated reviews by the Los Angeles Police Department.
Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, was in Los Angeles on the night of the killing but was travelling in a different car. He has always denied involvement, and police have said he was not treated as a suspect.
The unsolved case has remained surrounded by rumours and theories. Artists, including Eminem and 50 Cent, have referenced possible unanswered questions in their lyrics, but no allegations have been proven.

The killing is often linked to the East Coast and West Coast rap rivalry of the 1990s, which also framed public discussion around the death of Tupac Shakur.
Nearly 30 years later, Biggie’s murder remains one of hip-hop’s most discussed unsolved cases, with renewed attention often returning to unproven claims and public speculation.
