The James Bond Karachi restaurant mystery has resurfaced after the official 007 Instagram account shared a scene from the 1987 film “The Living Daylights.”
The clip shows actor Timothy Dalton as British spy James Bond alongside Kara Milovy, played by Maryam d’Abo. After spotting a sign pointing toward Karachi, Bond says he knows a “great restaurant” there.
However, neither the scene nor the film identifies the restaurant, leaving the brief Karachi reference unexplained..
The omission has prompted speculation about what Bond might have eaten in the city. Suggested possibilities include nihari, biryani, fry kabab, katakat and haleem from several well-known Karachi food spots.
