ISLAMABAD: NADRA and FBISE have integrated student registration for Matriculation and Intermediate examinations, allowing the federal board to verify key student information directly from the national identity database.
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) signed the agreement at NADRA Headquarters in Islamabad, according to a press release issued Tuesday.
FBISE Chairman Dr Ikram Ali Malik and the NADRA chairman attended the signing ceremony.
Under the agreement, the two institutions will establish a mutual data-exchange mechanism. NADRA will provide FBISE with student details, including full name, father’s name and date of birth, directly from its registry.
The arrangement aims to reduce discrepancies and errors during exam registration while improving the accuracy and verifiability of academic credentials, the statement said.

The partnership also includes development of a secure Digital Wallet through which students will be able to access, store and digitally share their educational certificates.
The initiative forms part of NADRA’s wider effort to connect Pakistan’s national identity infrastructure with educational records.
NADRA said it is progressively working to expand secure digital data-sharing across secondary and higher secondary education boards, universities and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) nationwide.
The statement does not specify when the integrated registration system or Digital Wallet will become available to students.
