US President Donald Trump urged Iran on Tuesday to make a Trump-Iran deal, saying he did not want to kill more Iranians as a Middle East ceasefire came under strain.
“They should do the smart thing, because we don’t want to go in and kill people,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.
Trump declined to specify what Tehran would have to do to formally violate the nearly month-long truce.
“You’ll find out,” Trump said when asked about the threshold for breach. “They know what to do. They know what not to do.”
Iran has fired missiles and drones in recent days at US forces and the United Arab Emirates.
President Trump drops a chilling warning that will send shivers down the spines of Iranian regime members:
“We could do anything we want to them.”
Trump looked directly into the media cameras in the Oval Office and declared that Iran WANTS to make a deal.

Trump accused Iran of “playing games” with efforts to end the war and said any agreement must prevent Tehran from developing a nuclear weapon.
He said Iranian officials speak respectfully in private but later deny contact publicly.
US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Tuesday the ceasefire was not over, even as the United States and Iran exchanged fire in the Gulf.
The exchange came as both sides continued to contest control of the Strait of Hormuz, a key regional shipping route.
