Pakistan International Airlines has cut PIA Saudi fares by 40% for passengers travelling from Pakistan to Riyadh and Dammam, an airline spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said the discounted fares would take effect immediately.
PIA officials said the concession was introduced for the Riyadh and Dammam sectors because a large number of Pakistani passengers travel on these routes.
The airline said the scheme was aimed at providing financial relief to travellers flying from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia.
The spokesperson said passengers using the discounted tickets would benefit from significantly lower fares on the two Saudi routes.
Separately, PIA’s administration has decided to relocate its Finance and Supply Chain departments to Islamabad.
In the first phase, around 20 Finance Department officers, including the general manager, have been transferred to Islamabad.
Six Supply Chain Department officers, also including the general manager, are being moved from Karachi, Sindh, to Islamabad.
The affected officers were directed to report to Islamabad by May 2. General manager-level officers will receive a relocation allowance of up to Rs150,000, while officers in Groups 7 and 8 will receive a shifting allowance of Rs100,000.
