ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan passport offices will keep delivery counters open every Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm for two months, allowing citizens to collect passports outside regular weekday hours.
The Directorate General of Immigration & Passports (DGIP) announced the temporary facility in a public notice issued on September 4. The arrangement applies to passport delivery counters and is intended for applicants whose passports are already ready for collection.
Director General of Immigration & Passports Muhammad Ali Randhawa urged applicants to collect their completed passports as early as possible, particularly those who are unable to visit an office during normal working hours.
The DGIP also warned that passports left unclaimed for more than six months would be disposed of in accordance with government policy.

The Saturday arrangement is an additional delivery service. The DGIP’s standing schedule lists normal operations at most Regional Passport Offices, Executive Passport Offices and Passport Processing Counters from 8 am to 4 pm on weekdays, while selected locations offer 24-hour passport processing.
