Parts of Punjab and northwestern upper areas continued to experience rain and snowfall today (Monday) in a fresh spell of rain and snowfall as the Met Office predicted more downpour in the next 24 hours.
“A shallow westerly wave is still affecting upper and central parts of the country, which is likely to persist during the next 24 hours,” according to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
It said the wave will cause light rain-thunderstorm (light snowfall over the hills) at isolated places in Gujranwala, Lahore divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas.
However, mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country.
Earlier yesterday, scattered rain-thunderstorm (snowfall over the hills) occurred in Islamabad, upper Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and parts of KPK.
