Lufthansa Dreamliner Frankfurt incident injured several staff on Thursday after a Boeing 787-9 tipped onto its nose at Frankfurt Airport before passengers boarded for Los Angeles.
The incident happened at 12:45 pm local time, or 3:45 pm PKT, while the aircraft was parked. The flight to Los Angeles was cancelled after the nose landing gear unexpectedly retracted, a Lufthansa spokeswoman told AFP.
Lufthansa said cabin crew and ground staff were on board at the time. The airline later said the injured staff, including two crew members, sustained light injuries and received medical treatment.

The airline said it was reviewing the circumstances with the relevant authorities. It did not initially specify the total number of injured staff.

Aerotelegraph reported that the damaged jet was about one year old and had been delivered to Lufthansa in January.
Lufthansa said the aircraft could be moved to a hangar as early as Thursday evening for further inspection before repairs begin.
