WASHINGTON, United States: President Donald Trump said Tuesday that the FBI was “wasting their time” assisting authorities in the Lindsey Graham death probe. He dismissed unsupported theories of foul play.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on July 14, Trump said he saw no evidence of wrongdoing and accepted the medical explanation for the South Carolina Republican’s sudden death.
Graham died Saturday evening at age 71. This occurred shortly after he returned to Washington from Ukraine, where he had met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The District of Columbia medical examiner’s preliminary findings identified an aortic dissection caused by arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Officials said the death certificate would remain pending until toxicology and microscopic testing were completed.
“I don’t see a lot of evil there,” President Trump said Tuesday when asked about the late Sen. Lindsey Graham’s death and the FBI search of Graham's home.

Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Kash Patel said the agency was assisting local authorities. The bureau did not announce a criminal investigation or indicate that investigators had found evidence of suspicious circumstances.
Trump said White House doctors had reviewed the available medical information. He also cited Graham’s family history of heart disease. Additionally, he recalled that the senator had complained about back pain, which can occur during an aortic emergency.
