TEHRAN: Ghalibaf mocks Trump in a new social media post that twists the US president’s campaign slogan into “Make America Hungry Again” amid tensions between Iran and the United States.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf posted the message on X on Monday, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency.
He also accused President Donald Trump of using false claims to hide what Ghalibaf described as US defeats.
Ghalibaf cited figures claiming that 47 million Americans face hunger. He also said one in eight Americans struggles with food insecurity.
The Iranian speaker further claimed that 16 million US children go hungry every day. He added that food insecurity affects every county in the United States.

However, those figures are attributed to Ghalibaf and do not provide an independent data source to verify them.

Ghalibaf used the statistics to challenge Trump’s recent statements about Iran. “You can’t cover up defeats with false claims,” he wrote, according to IRNA.
The exchange comes amid heightened political and military tensions between Washington and Tehran. Iranian media outlets, including IRNA, Anadolu Agency, Mehr News Agency and Iran International, also reported on Ghalibaf’s post.
