Karachi, Sindh: The National Disaster Management Authority has issued a Karachi rain alert, warning of heavy rainfall from the fourth day of Eid ul Adha.
The NDMA said Hyderabad, Thatta and Badin may receive rain with strong winds on May 30 and 31. It warned authorities to prepare for urban flooding and weather-related disruptions.
The authority said Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Punjab may receive rain between May 28 and 31. The advisory said weather conditions could affect daily routines and travel in different cities.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, NDMA forecasts rain and hailstorms from May 26 to 31. It asked authorities in Chitral, Dir and Swat to remain alert, as landslides and road blockages may occur in vulnerable areas.

Traffic in Chitral has already been affected after a landslide blocked Boni Road. Local reports said long queues of vehicles were stranded on both sides of the route.
Women, children, older people and other passengers remained trapped in vehicles for hours after the road closure, according to local reports. Residents said authorities had not yet started work to reopen the route.
