A Jung Kook song comparison with Taylor Swift’s “Daylight” has resurfaced online, reigniting debate between BTS fans and Swifties over similarities between the two tracks.
A fan shared portions of Jung Kook’s “Yes or No” and Swift’s “Daylight” side by side, prompting competing claims that the resemblance represented plagiarism, inspiration or a common pop-music pattern.
The dispute remains driven by fan comments; however, there has been no plagiarism complaint, legal action or public response from Jung Kook, Taylor Swift or their representatives.
Jung Kook released his debut solo album, “Golden,” through BIGHIT MUSIC on November 3, 2023. The 11-track record includes “Yes or No,” alongside singles “Seven” and “3D.”
Weverse Magazine said British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran helped write “Yes or No” and contributed guitar to the recording.
“Daylight” appeared as the closing track on Swift’s 2019 studio album, “Lover,” according to her official store’s track listing.
