The Pezeshkian administration is seeking support for a 60-day Memorandum of Understanding with Washington.
Pakistan and Qatar have helped shift the talks toward a temporary framework. The plan aims to halt hostilities, ease the US naval blockade and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said Tehran would not settle the details of its nuclear stockpile in the first phase. Pragmatists linked to Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf back the deal for sanctions relief and frozen assets.

IRGC-linked hardliners say any freeze on enrichment or limits on deterrence would cross Iran’s red lines. US Vice President JD Vance said both sides were still working through language points.
