The government has decided to take five leaders agitating against the government under ‘protective custody’ ahead of their scheduled long march on August 14.
The government planned the move in an attempt to thwart the protest march on the Independence Day. Chairman Pakistan Awami Tehreek Dr. Tahirul Qadri, chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid leaders Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain, Chaudhary Pervez Elahi and Awami Muslim League head Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed are among the leaders to be put under ‘protective custody’ by the government before their long march.
According to senior anchorperson ARY News Mubashir Lucman, the government has decided to approach the Lahore High Court (LHC) to give their action legal cover.
Lucman said, “the government could go any length in an apparanent to foil the protest march aimed at toppling the government”
Dr.Qadri announced yesterday this ‘revolution march’ will join the ‘independence march’ of Imran Khan on August 14 in Islamabad.
