LONDON, United Kingdom: British-Nigerian influencer Igho Ubiribo died at 43 after undergoing a cosmetic enlargement procedure in Thailand, according to findings presented at an inquest in London.
Ubiribo, also known online as “Tiny,” “Denisi” and “Ego,” received injections containing 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine during the procedure. Coroner Jean Harkin found that the treatment caused a pulmonary embolism.
He underwent the procedure while visiting Thailand with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, in March. Afterwards, he developed chest pain and lost consciousness before being taken to hospital.
Medical staff performed CPR for more than 100 minutes, but Ubiribo died on March 6. A postmortem examination in the United Kingdom found material in his lungs that was consistent with the injected filler.
Ubiribo had built a large social-media following around international travel, designer clothing and other aspects of his lifestyle. His Instagram account had about 185,000 followers.

Friends and relatives held his funeral in London in May; he was later buried in a gold coffin reportedly valued at about $745,000.
The Cleveland Clinic warns that cosmetic penile procedures can carry risks including infection, scarring, loss of sensation, erectile dysfunction and changes in shape.
