Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has distributed cheques for Rs75,000 each among 23 people injured by the Indian shelling on border villages in Sialkot.
The chief minister distributed these cheques at Combined Military Hospital on Thursday.
Mr Shahbaz announced Rs0.5 million compensation each for next of kin of those who died in the Indian shelling.
He also condemned the unprovoked shelling and targeting of civilian population by the Indian Border Security Forces (BSF).
He termed the firing by Indian BSF a violation of international ceasefire laws and human rights as well. The chief minister urged the United Nations to take serious notice of the brutal killing of innocent citizens in border villages.
