LOS ANGELES, California: “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling’s yacht Samsara has been identified at Marina del Rey after the 89-metre vessel arrived Sunday with its name covered.
The superyacht arrived on August 30 and drew attention from marina watchers during the week, according to The Times. However, there are no reports that Rowling herself was aboard the vessel.
Samsara was delivered by Dutch shipbuilder Oceanco in 2015 under its original name, “Infinity.” Oceanco lists the vessel at about 89 metres, or 291 feet, with a 14.2-metre beam and a five-metre circular swimming pool among its features.
Current yacht specifications list accommodation for 14 guests and 26 crew members, along with seven cabins, a cinema room, beach club and elevator.

Rowing has been publicly linked to Samsara since acquiring the vessel in 2023. Previous reporting has valued the yacht at around $150 million, although that figure is an estimate rather than a publicly disclosed purchase price.
The vessel previously sailed as “Infinity” and “Cloud 9” before being renamed Samsara.
Rowling created the seven-book “Harry Potter” series, which publisher Bloomsbury says has sold more than 600 million copies worldwide
