Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan while addressing a press conference at Lahore said that, “we are marching towards Islamabad on 14 August to end the monarchial rule of the ‘Sharif dynasty’ because this is a tussle between monarchy and democracy”, adding that we will not retreat from Islamabad until ‘Naya Pakistan’ is formed.
Khan warned the police that if any of the political workers were harmed in any way during the protest then they would not be able to find any place to hide in Punjab, adding that resignation is a very small deed and, my partners would sacrifice their lives for the cause of true democracy.
PTI Chairman while explaining the ‘farcical nature of democracy in Pakistan’ said that ,”unfortunately Pakistan has never witnessed true democracy until now but this time we will end the ‘ reign of the emperor’ on 14 August, and the foundations of dynastic rule in Pakistan will crumble”.
