More than 1,400 Pakistani medical graduates secured US residency places this year, marking a record performance in the United States residency match program, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council said.
PMDC President Professor Dr. Rizwan Taj said Pakistani doctors had surpassed their traditional Indian counterparts in the U.S. residency match program.
He said the rise in selections reflected stronger medical education standards, updated curricula and policy reforms introduced by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
Professor Taj said that international medical institutions were increasingly trusting the skills and capabilities of Pakistani healthcare professionals.
