US President Donald Trump said negotiations with Iran were in their final stages, while Al Arabiya reported that the drafting of a possible US-Iran agreement was underway.
Al Arabiya said efforts were continuing to give the proposed deal a formal structure. The outlet also reported that a new round of talks on final points could take place in Islamabad after Hajj, though no official confirmation has been issued.
Trump told reporters on Wednesday that Washington was giving diplomacy “one shot” but warned of further military action if no deal emerged. “We’ll see what happens,” he said, according to reports carried by The Irish Times.
The talks follow a pause in Operation Epic Fury, which Trump said he halted six weeks ago for a ceasefire. The president said this week that he had come close to ordering more attacks but held off to allow negotiations more time.
Iran accused Washington of preparing to restart the war. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that any renewed aggression against Iran would expand the conflict beyond the region.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Iran’s top negotiator, said in an audio message that the US moves showed preparations for new attacks.
The reported Pakistan link remains unconfirmed; however, Al Arabiya said a key Pakistani figure could visit Iran in connection with the diplomacy, while earlier rounds of US-Iran peace talks had taken place in Islamabad.
