KARACHI, Sindh: The Sindh Assembly resolution opposing any division of the province was passed unanimously on Thursday, September 3, with all members present supporting the motion.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Nisar Khuhro presented the resolution, while Speaker Syed Owais Qadir Shah formally announced its unanimous approval.
During the session, PPP lawmakers carried banners stating that Sindh was their motherland and opposed any move to divide the province.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah told the house that Sindh would not be divided and warned against raising proposals to break up the province.

Addressing the National Assembly in his remarks, Murad Ali Shah said lawmakers should not discuss “breaking Sindh into pieces” or dividing it.
The chief minister also criticised political opponents over their stance on the issue, accusing some of adopting double standards and making divisive statements after remaining absent from the provincial assembly.
Following the passage of the resolution, Speaker Owais Qadir Shah adjourned the sitting until 2:30 pm on Friday.
