LOS ANGELES: “The Odyssey” streaming date remains unannounced as Christopher Nolan’s film continues its exclusive theatrical run following its July 17 release.
Universal Pictures lists the mythic action epic as “now playing.” However, neither Universal nor Peacock has confirmed when viewers can watch it at home.
Therefore, the film is not currently available with a Netflix or Prime Video subscription. Searches on Prime Video may instead return older productions titled “The Odyssey.”
Universal Pictures may offer the film for digital rental and purchase before its subscription-streaming debut. However, the studio has not announced a date for Apple TV, Prime Video or other digital stores.
Peacock remains the expected first US subscription platform because Universal releases usually begin their Pay-1 streaming window there. Still, the studio has not officially confirmed a Peacock date for this film.
Netflix could carry “The Odyssey” later under its expanded US licensing agreement with Universal Filmed Entertainment Group.

Starting with Universal’s 2027 live-action slate, Netflix gains a 10-month window after the initial Peacock period. The agreement requires eligible films to reach Netflix no later than eight months after their theatrical release.
Nolan wrote and directed the film for Universal Pictures. Syncopy producers Emma Thomas and Nolan produced it. Matt Damon stars alongside Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya and Charlize Theron.
The supplied material included projected dates for Peacock, Netflix, Prime Video, Sky and JioCinema. However, official dates have not been confirmed.
