Country singer Jelly Roll said his weight loss came through diet and exercise as he addressed speculation about Ozempic while guest-hosting “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Wednesday.
The 41-year-old musician, whose real name is Jason DeFord, responded after Fox News host Jesse Watters made an Ozempic joke during a clip shown on the ABC late-night programme.

Jelly Roll joked about drugs before turning serious, saying he had got into shape before the wider GLP-1 weight-loss trend and was proud of doing so through changes to his diet and exercise routine.
The singer has previously spoken publicly about obesity and food addiction, telling Men’s Health that he once weighed 540 pounds and felt trapped by his body.

Men’s Health has also reported that Jelly Roll briefly tried a weight-loss medication early in his transformation before discontinuing it after two weeks.
