Washington: President Donald Trump said U.S. pilots involved in a Strait of Hormuz incident were unharmed and that Washington would release a report on the matter.
“The pilots are fine,” Trump said on June 9 while travelling to the White House, according to Iran International.
Trump said the United States would issue the report “tomorrow,” but gave no further details about the incident.

He also said he had a “very good conversation” with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after recent exchanges between Israel and Iran.
Trump said Israel had been hit and then “hit back,” adding that both sides had agreed through him to stop.
The U.S. president said Washington was close to reaching an agreement with Iran. He argued that a deal would work better than more bombing.
Trump said a bombing campaign could leave the Strait of Hormuz closed for months and cause heavy casualties.

He said he preferred a signed agreement that would restrict Iran’s nuclear capabilities and avoid further military action.
