Chicago Sky beat the Golden State Valkyries 73-70 on Friday at Wintrust Arena, where a Natasha Cloud WNBA post-game reaction followed multiple objects being thrown onto the court.
The objects landed during the third quarter of the August 21 game and briefly stopped play while arena personnel removed them, ESPN reported. Players remained on the court during the interruption.
Chicago Sky guard Natasha Cloud, 34, condemned those responsible during her post-game press conference. She said the incidents reflected hostility toward women and the LGBTQ+ community.
The disruption came a day after another object was thrown during the Atlanta Dream’s August 20 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks. Social media video showed Dream forward Angel Reese pointing toward the stands after the object reached the court.

The WNBA experienced at least three similar incidents during the 2025 season. In one Phoenix Mercury-Connecticut Sun game, police took an 18-year-old into custody after an object struck a spectator and his nine-year-old niece.
