WASHINGTON, United States: The Trump approval rating fell to 33% in an August 14–17 Reuters/Ipsos poll, tying his lowest reading from December 2017.
The survey of 1,166 adults found 64% disapproved of President Donald Trump’s performance, according to Reuters/Ipsos.
Only 14% said they strongly approved of his presidency; the figure has fallen 12 percentage points since February 2025.
The poll also found 80% expected the US conflict with Iran to continue for an extended period. Higher energy costs have added to public concern.
The American Automobile Association has shown that average US gasoline prices have risen from below USD 3 to above USD 4 per gallon since the war began.
