Sharon Stone’s stroke recovery included an unusual experience in which the actor says five “orbs” appeared to communicate with her while she was between sleeping and waking.
Stone, 68, described the experience while discussing her recovery for the debut episode of Mayim Bialik’s “Breakdown.”
The “Basic Instinct” star suffered a life-threatening brain haemorrhage in 2001. She has previously described lasting neurological effects involving her sight, hearing and ability to read.
Stone said the experience occurred after she returned home from hospital and was struggling to sleep at night. She recalled that five orbs appeared while she was resting on a couch and seemed to communicate with her in what she described as a “digital language.”

She said she interpreted the experience as a message that she was meant to survive. Stone also recalled asking that two of the figures remain with her infant son Roan because she feared being separated from him.
Stone later adopted two more sons, Laird and Quinn, and has maintained a relationship with Roan.
