Erin Andrews’ hotel video memories resurfaced as the Fox NFL reporter recalled fearing her career was over after discovering secretly recorded footage of herself online in 2009.
Speaking with Alex Cooper on the September 2 episode of “Call Her Daddy,” Andrews said she immediately called her parents while crying after a friend alerted her to the video.
Andrews, 48, said she worried the recording would destroy her credibility as a sports journalist and change how viewers and employers perceived her.
An FBI investigation later identified Michael David Barrett as the man who followed Andrews while she was working as an ESPN college football reporter.
Andrews said Barrett obtained a hotel room next to hers and secretly filmed her through an altered peephole. Barrett was later sentenced to prison for stalking and secretly recording Andrews.

Andrews also sued Barrett and operators of the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University, where the recording was made. A jury awarded her USD 55 million in damages following a 2016 civil trial.
