UNITED STATES: South Park marked its 2026 Emmy win by posting a cartoon mocking Donald Trump, whose television series “The Apprentice” previously received two unsuccessful nominations in the same awards.
The Comedy Central series won Outstanding Animated Program for its 27th season, its first Emmy victory since 2013. The Television Academy also lists “South Park” as the 2026 winner in the category.
After the award, the show’s official X account congratulated creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, as well as the production team.
An accompanying cartoon showed a caricature of Trump holding an Emmy statue with the words, “You finally got your Emmy.” The image referred to Trump’s history with the awards.
Trump received Emmy nominations as an executive producer of NBC’s “The Apprentice” in 2004 and 2005. Television Academy records confirm both nominations.

“The Apprentice” lost the Outstanding Reality-Competition Program award to CBS series “The Amazing Race” in both years.
Trump had also featured prominently in “South Park” Season 27. The animated series repeatedly satirised him and figures including JD Vance and Pete Hegseth during the season. The 2026 award ended an eight-nomination stretch without a win for “South Park” since its previous Emmy victory in 2013.
