WASHINGTON, United States: Reports have put Natalie Harp, a Trump aide, in the spotlight amid claims she could replace Karoline Leavitt as press secretary.
The White House lists Harp as a special assistant and executive assistant to President Donald Trump.
Its 2026 annual report to Congress lists her salary at USD 150,000 a year. Harp has become known for managing material that reaches Trump.
Harp was often seen carrying a portable printer for news reports and draft social media posts. She previously worked as a presenter for One America News Network from 2020 to 2022.
Harp gained national attention after crediting Trump’s “Right to Try” law with helping her access cancer treatment. She later spoke at the 2020 Republican National Convention.

She joined Trump’s political team in 2022 and became his executive assistant after his return to the White House in January 2025.
CNN reports that Harp rode in the rear cargo area of an SUV during a 2023 New York court trip after no regular motorcade seat was available.
Harp is being considered as a possible replacement for Karoline Leavitt. It does not cite a White House announcement confirming her selection.
