Islamabad, Pakistan, is expanding NADRA passport services via mobile applications so citizens can access identity and passport-related services from home.
The plan was discussed during a meeting between the Director General of Immigration and Passports, Muhammad Ali Randhawa and the NADRA Chairman, Lieutenant General Muhammad Munir Afsar, at NADRA headquarters.
Officials reviewed proposals to modernise and integrate Pakistan’s immigration and identity management systems.
The meeting focused on using technology to allow citizens to obtain passport and identity document services without repeated visits to government offices.
The proposals include online applications, digital verification systems and faster processing of passport and identification services.
Officials said a unified digital system could improve public service delivery and reduce delays for citizens seeking official documents.
