FAISALABAD, Punjab: Pakistan Idol winner Hira Qaiser claimed the title during Sunday’s Super Finale and received a Rs 1.5 million cash prize.
Qaiser credited her victory to Allah’s blessings and the prayers of her parents and family. Speaking to Jang and Geo, she said she was overwhelmed by the result and now hoped to fulfil her dreams.
The finale aired on Sunday night and was also screened in cinemas in Karachi, Sindh, and Faisalabad, Punjab.
Singer Atif Aslam appeared as the show’s Super Icon after sponsor Sooper Biscuits invited him to the finale. He also performed for the audience.

Qaiser received the Pakistan Idol shield along with Rs1.5 million. The remaining seven finalists each received a shield and Rs500,000.
Producer Badr Ikram told Geo News that the team had worked extensively to find the “voice of Pakistan.” He also announced that Pakistan Idol Season 3 would return soon.
