Actor Yash’s “Toxic” box office collection fell sharply on Day 2, earning an estimated INR 37.65 crore net in India after an INR 101.10 crore opening, according to Sacnilk.
The Geetu Mohandas-directed “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups” recorded a 62.8% decline from its first-day collection. Its two-day India net total reached approximately INR 138.75 crore.
Sacnilk data placed the film’s worldwide collection at around INR 192 crore after two days.
Overall occupancy in India stood at 27.63% on Day 2. Morning shows recorded 17.08% occupancy, followed by 26.77% in the afternoon and 25.62% in the evening. Night shows performed strongest at 41.08%.
The decline came amid negative and mixed reactions, with criticism directed at the film’s action sequences, gangster storyline and treatment of female characters. The available figures do not establish how much those reactions directly contributed to the box-office fall.
