Karachi: Karachi Rangers attack was foiled after three Pakistan Rangers Sindh personnel were martyred and four were injured at a camp in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, ISPR said Sunday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations said militants detonated explosives at the main gate before trying to breach the camp perimeter.
Rangers troops killed three attackers and captured one injured suspect, whom ISPR identified as an Afghan national.
The military’s media wing identified the attackers as Khwarij belonging to Jamaat ul Ahrar. It called the group an Indian proxy, while AP reported the outfit had claimed responsibility.

Authorities closed roads linking Mosmiyat Chowrangi, Kamran Chowrangi, Chaman Iqbal Colony and nearby parts of Gulistan-e-Jauhar after the attack.
