Karachi, Sindh: Pakistan Rangers arrested a wanted suspect in a Karachi terrorist arrest operation in Shah Latif Town, Malir, officials said.
Rangers identified the suspect as Javed Ali Khan, alias Swati, son of Raham Bacha. Officials said he belongs to Swat.
The force handed the suspect over to the Counter-Terrorism Department and SWAT for further legal proceedings.
Authorities said Khan joined the Fazlullah group of Fitna al-Khwarij in 2007. They accused him of attacks on government and police facilities in Swat.
Investigators said he helped torch a government arms depot at Matta Police Station. They also linked him to an improvised explosive device attack at the School Shakir Dairy.
Officials accused Khan of attacking the Police Chowki Shakardarah and grabbing property from local residents.

Rangers said the suspect fled during a 2008 army operation. Investigators said he returned to Pakistan in 2022 and resumed militant activity.
Officials also linked him to a rocket and heavy-weapons attack in Shakdara, Swat. Rangers said the attack killed three civilians and injured two others.
Authorities said Khan later moved to Karachi to avoid arrest. They said he was trying to rebuild a network for more terrorist activity.
