HOUSTON, United States: Sequestri carbon storage solutions from SLB are designed to support carbon capture and storage projects from site evaluation through CO2 injection, monitoring and regulatory permitting.

SLB said the portfolio combines digital tools, engineering workflows and hardware developed for carbon storage. The company says it draws on experience from more than 150 carbon capture and storage projects.

The system is intended to help developers assess storage capacity, injectivity and containment before making a final investment decision. It can also evaluate existing wells and model the effects of CO2 injection.

After site selection, SLB offers tools for measurement, monitoring and verification plans. These cover site-specific equipment, analysis, data management and continuing injection operations.

JUST IN – Europe's largest "carbon capture facility," officially opens in the Netherlands, aiming to cut emissions by capturing and liquefying CO2, then transporting it to Norway, to store it 1.6 miles beneath the seabed.

The portfolio also includes technology for designing and constructing CO2 injection wells. SLB says such wells must withstand supercritical CO2 while maintaining integrity for decades after injection ends.

Regulatory permitting forms another part of the offering. SLB says its engineering processes can support monitoring plans, injection-well design and field development in jurisdictions with established or developing regulatory frameworks.

The company also lists the Havstjerne Carbon Storage Project among related work, in which integrated engineering is intended to support development prior to a final investment decision.
