Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar Monday said that present government was committed to eliminate the menace of terrorism and maintain peace in all parts of the country.
Talking to Pakistan Television, he said, “Pakistan is facing a number of challenges and there is a need to address the issues with collective efforts and unity of the political forces.”
He added that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz government was taking all important steps to eliminate terrorism.
“Pakistan Army has launched the operation in NWA to flush out the terrorists”, said he.
Governor Punjab urged all the political parties and civil society to forge unity to foil the nefarious designs of the enemy.
Replying to a question regarding Lahore incident, he said that present government had formed judicial commission for submitting report so that action could be taken against the responsible elements.
Sarwar assured that the government will take strict action against the perpetrators of the Model Town incident. (APP)
