FIFA will launch “FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition” on Netflix Games on June 11, the same day the 2026 FIFA World Cup begins.
The governing body said the game will be available only to Netflix subscribers at no extra cost. FIFA said the release forms part of its revamped digital strategy.
Netflix Games and Delphi Interactive are developing the title with FIFA. The organisation described it as an accessible football simulation built around the World Cup experience.
FIFA said players will be able to choose from all 48 teams competing in the tournament. The game will feature matches across the 16 World Cup stadiums and include more than 1,200 players.
Smartphones will work as controllers, according to FIFA. Users can connect to a television by scanning a QR code, with up to 4 people playing together.

The launch follows the end of FIFA’s long-running partnership with EA Sports. FIFA said it is shifting to a multi-partner gaming model across platforms and audiences.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
