Famous independent MNA Jamshed Dasti, said earlier today he has decided not to resign from the National Assembly (NA) after his mother’s disapproval.
Dasti, who supported Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), had announced a few days ago to resign along with other PTI MNAs in protest against the PML-N government.
However, he said his mother expressed unhappiness (and disappointment) over his announcement of resignation and he also realized that it was a wrong decision.
“People have elected me, I represent them and I cannot leave them on mercy of looters and thieves,” he said, while speaking to the media.
